Terms & Conditions as of 2025

Amy's Bake Away

PAYMENT

  1. A non-refundable & non-transferable deposit of €50 is required for orders over €100 at the time of booking. Orders under €100 must be paid in full upon booking.

  2. The remaining balance is due:

    • Ten (10) days before collection for individual orders.

    • Fourteen (14) days before collection for two tier cakes.

  3. Failure to pay the balance by the due date will result in order cancellation and forfeiture of the deposit.

  4. Amy’s Bake Away operates on a strictly online payment basis. For safety and security reasons, we do not accept cash payments, including for custom orders placed online. All payments must be made electronically at the time of booking or as outlined in our payment terms via a STRIPE payment link.

  5. All payments are final, non-refundable, and non-transferable.

ORDER DETAILS

  1.  The design and flavour of your order are finalised at booking and cannot be changed afterward.  

  2. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure all invoice details, including any inspiration images, are correct. Amy will use these during the baking and decorating process.

  3. Once payment is made, collection date and time are fixed and cannot be changed.

COLLECT & LIABILIYY

  1. Please arrive on time for your collection. Arrivals later than 15 minutes may result in restrictions on future orders.

  2. Please park considerately in the residential collection area.

  3. Once the cake or cupcakes have been collected/delivered, you assume full responsibility for their condition. For care instructions, please refer to the provided guidelines or visit our website.

DESIGN & INSPIRATION

  1. We reserve the right to make necessary adjustments to the design of your order, should we see fit.

  2. Buttercream frosting has a natural off-white tone due to butter content and will not appear bright white. Some colours are also just not achievable using food grade dyes.

  3. We do not replicate designs ever. Instead, we draw inspiration from your photos to create a unique product. No two bakes are ever exactly alike. 

  4. While every effort is made to ensure our buttercream remains delicious, certain design requests may require the use of higher concentrations of food-grade colouring to achieve specific colours (especially bold or dark shades). Please note that this can affect the flavour slightly. As this is a necessary part of the design process, it is considered outside of our control and does not constitute grounds for complaint or refund.

ALLERGENS AND INGREDIENTS

  1. AmysBakeAway is a licensed, insured, and health permitted bakery. 

  2. Our products may contain or come into contact with common allergens including milk, egg, wheat (gluten), soya, nuts, sesame, and fish oils (in sprinkles). We are not liable for allergic reactions, and advise not consuming our products if you have any food allergies.

  3. We do not use Fresh Cream.

  4. A kind note before placing an order: Everyone’s flavour palate is unique! While we do our very best to create bakes that appeal to a wide range of tastes, flavour is a personal experience. Because of this, feedback based purely on individual preference may not always be the most constructive — though we always appreciate thoughtful input! We understand that it’s impossible to please everyone perfectly, as taste is so personal.

  5. Some items contain sugar sprinkles that may be hard to chew. Consume with care, and do not serve to children under 3.

  6.  Cakes may contain dowels for structural support. Never push anyone’s face into a cake—this may cause injury.

  7. We take great care in planning, preparing, and creating every custom order. Due to the time, resources, and scheduling required for each cake, all sales are final and non-refundable.

CANCELLATIONS

  1. Once an order is confirmed and payment is made, it cannot be cancelled for a refund.

  2. We do not offer refunds under any circumstances, including cancellations or changes in event plans. This policy is in place because ingredients, materials, and time are reserved exclusively for your order.

POSTPONEMENTS

  1. If you need to reschedule your event, we may be able to accommodate a date change with at least 14 days’ notice, subject to availability.

  2. A rebooking fee may apply, and only one reschedule is allowed per order.

NON-COMMICATION 

  1. If we do not receive a signed contract or final payment by the agreed deadline, your order may be cancelled and the spot offered to another client.

FORCE MAJEURE

  1. In rare cases where we are unable to fulfil your order due to illness or emergency on our end, a full refund or alternative solution will be offered.

ADDITIONAL NOTES

  1. At Amy’s Bake Away, we do not send images of cakes or treats before, during, or after production. Our clients trust our experience and creative eye, and with a busy baking schedule, we’re unable to provide progress photos or previews.

    Rest assured — your order is in safe hands, made with care in a fully registered, insured, and professional kitchen.

    You may spot your bake shared on our Instagram after your event at @amysbakeaway — and we’d love for you to tag us in your own photos too!

  2. If there’s an issue with your order, please contact us by email at info@amysbakeaway.com within 24 hours of collection or delivery.

    Items must also be returned within 24 hours (preferably in the original packaging) so we can properly assess the concern. Only then will we determine if a refund or partial credit is appropriate. As all items are handmade and taste is subjective, refunds are not available for flavour or sweetness preferences. We welcome kind feedback but cannot refund based on taste, colour variation, or damage occurring after collection.

  3. We are not responsible for discolouration or staining caused by coloured buttercream, as you are aware that food dye can cause this issue.

  4. Portion estimates are serving suggestions only. Actual servings may vary depending on how the cake is cut.

  5. Cakes are limited to a maximum of two tall candles on top. Be advised: cake toppers may be flammable.

  6. Amy's Bake Away is not liable for any damage to bakes after collection or delivery.

  7. You agree not to disclose any personal location details related to Amy’s Bake Away.
